Job summary

Observable Space is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to lead accuracy, integrity, and flow of company-owned inventory across manufacturing operations. You will partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Finance, and Engineering to maintain traceability, implement 5S practices, and drive corrective actions for any gaps in inspection or record-keeping.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, warehousing, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience using an ERP or MRP system to manage inventory, locations, and traceability.
• Working knowledge of cycle counting, physical inventory, root-cause analysis, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical ability with proficiency in Excel or similar tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication across functions (Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Finance, Engineering).

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accuracy for raw materials, components, WIP, finished goods, consumables, and customer-owned material.
• Maintain cycle-count schedules and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure all receiving, stocking, transfers, picks, issues, and adjustments are recorded in real time.
• Lead movement between buildings and storage while maintaining traceability.
• Lead inspection and material acceptance for incoming parts and materials.
• Develop and enforce inventory-control procedures and standard work.
