Job summary

US Foods in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to lead labor planning, coaching, and the daily operations of the inventory control team in a fast-paced warehouse.

You will partner with Ops, Replenishment, Finance and Vendors to reduce losses, improve processes, ensure SOX controls, and uphold a safety-first culture.

This onsite role requires 5 years in inventory control or warehousing, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in inventory control or warehousing.
• Strong understanding of inventory control procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Supervisory experience and time management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with warehousing and distribution back-office systems.

Responsibilities

• Labor planning and scheduling of inventory control staff to match priorities.
• Coach and develop associates with clear expectations and metrics.
• Apply root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to prevent inventory losses.
• Manage vendor packaging issues and reclamation processes.
• Oversee non-saleable (suspense) inventory and resolve issues.
• Review customer credit requests and drive process improvements.
• Ensure SOX compliance through reports and cycle counts.
• Lead with safety, service, and cost mindset in warehouse operations.
• Support staffing, hiring, and performance management.
