Job summary

LVMH Group in New York seeks an Inventory Controller - External Vendors to oversee virtual vendor inventory balances and transactions across systems and supplier locations, focusing on loose stones. You will drive end‑to‑end reconciliation and maintain inventory integrity for audit readiness.

The role partners with Finance, IT, Planning and Gem Supply to monitor stock levels, validate movements, and implement improvements ensuring SOX compliance and minimal discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory control, audit, finance, or supply chain operations with ownership of reconciliation.
• Strong experience with inventory reconciliation and discrepancy resolution; or audit support and control frameworks (SOX, CODC).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., JDE or equivalent).
• Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across Operations, Finance, IT, Planning, and Product teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end visibility and control of inventory positions across virtual vendor locations.
• Track and validate inventory movement with full traceability and transaction integrity.
• Oversee vendor branch inventory and ad hoc counts and validation activities.
• Manage vendor loss requests and execute inventory adjustments in compliance with control standards.
• Partner with Diamond & Gem Supply Planning to monitor safety stock levels and coordinate replenishment actions.
• Identify and elevate risks impacting inventory accuracy, discrepancies, and loss, ensuring SOX/CODC adherence.
