Job summary

Helzberg Diamonds seeks a Senior Inventory Accountant to ensure inventory accuracy and financial reporting integrity. The role partners across Finance, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Distribution, Store Operations, Loss Prevention, IT, and E‑Commerce to identify and resolve discrepancies.

The ideal candidate leads system improvements, develops automated controls, and oversees physical counts and month-end close related to inventory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IS, or related field.
• 5+ years of inventory accounting or related experience.
• Advanced understanding of inventory flows and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills (Power Query, PivotTables) and large data sets.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Retail.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large volumes of inventory and financial data to identify discrepancies and trends.
• Perform root cause analysis of variances across stores and distribution centers.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to resolve systemic inventory issues.
• Design and implement inventory controls and automated points.
• Lead end-to-end transaction flow testing and system changes.
• Oversee monthly inventory reconciliations and valuation methods.
• Coordinate physical inventory counts across all stores and distribution centers.
