Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply in Lakeland, FL seeks an Inventory Supervisor to lead our inventory control operations. You will ensure accurate stock levels, supervise the inventory team, and collaborate with Warehouse, Purchasing, Production, Logistics, and Finance to optimize processes and reduce discrepancies.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years in inventory management or inventory control, with 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Experience leading teams in a fast-paced warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
High school diploma or equivalent; AS/BS in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
Proficiency in inventory management software, WMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Supervise, lead, and develop inventory team members, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
Oversee daily inventory operations, including stock tracking, receiving, shipping, and transactions to ensure accuracy.
Develop, implement, and monitor inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
Coordinate with Purchasing and Production teams to ensure timely replenishment and prevent stockouts or overstock.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to verify accuracy.
Prepare and review inventory reports for management and communicate findings.
