American Material Services Inc is seeking an Inventory Specialist to track incoming, outgoing, and stored goods. Core duties include reconciling physical stock with digital records, preventing shortages, processing shipments, and using inventory management software.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, shipping and receiving, stock management with FIFO, replenishment, and reporting turnover and obsolete inventory to management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in word processing, database systems, and spreadsheets.
  • Experience with ERP systems and RF scanners valued.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Cycle counting and routine audits of products.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Shipping and receiving; verify contents, log items, and label shipments.
  • Stock management and rotation; manage inputs and disposition of legacy material.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place restock orders as needed.
  • Compile data on turnover rates and stock levels for management.
