Job summary

  • Experience with material staging, receiving, shipping, or put-away.
  • Basic computer skills and inventory tracking.
  • Ability to work independently and with teams.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and scheduled cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and make appropriate system adjustments.
  • Utilize WMS and inventory management systems to receive, move, locate, stage, and track materials throughout the facility.
  • Stage materials and finished goods for production, shipping, receiving, or outbound orders.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, locations, and inventory status during material movements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages, overages, damaged materials, and potential discrepancies.
  • Perform physical inventory audits and reconcile system quantities against actual on-hand inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations and ensure materials are properly labeled and organized.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure timely movement of materials.
  • Research inventory transactions and identify the root cause of discrepancies.
  • Enter and maintain accurate inventory information within the WMS and other applicable systems.
  • Assist with receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and material handling activities as needed.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and material flow.

Sierra Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to support warehouse operations and maintain accurate inventory levels. Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with a WMS or computerized inventory management system.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Experience with material staging, receiving, shipping, picking, or put-away operations.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify inventory issues.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with inventory tracking systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with warehouse and production teams.
  • Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience is a plus.
