Job summary

The Chefs’ Warehouse in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Inventory Controller to ensure accurate inventory records and control processes across the warehouse. You will conduct cycle counts, support perpetual inventory, analyze data, and generate reports to drive improvements while training staff and maintaining safety and organization.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, coordinating counts, and ensuring correct labeling and units of measure. Proficiency with Canopy and WMS is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Excellent math, reading, communication and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Previous Warehouse Management (WMS) experience required.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.
• Ability to lift/move up to 70 lbs solo or with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and control processes.
• Assist in development and implementation of perpetual inventory.
• Coordinate cycle counts as scheduled.
• Ensure correct use of units of measure and proper labeling.
• Train personnel in necessary processes for compliance.
• Assist with physical inventory as scheduled or requested.
• Compile reports and analysis of inventory control results.
• Analyze inventory metrics and recommend improvements.
• Maintain databases and reports to support analysis.
• Learn Canopy system and suggest reports needed.
• Perform slot checks to align systems with physical inventory.
• Perform other projects as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Operate indoor and heavy duty forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Receive delivered goods and document stock items.
• Conduct weekly cycle counts.
