Vallen Distribution, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator I to perform cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations, while maintaining accurate inventory records. The role may mentor less experienced staff and participate in management-led initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 1+ years related work experience.
• Strong computer knowledge and aptitude to learn various applications; SAP a plus.
• Strong Excel skills with data analysis and advanced formulas.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain management.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and work instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic math skills for rates, ratios, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical cycle counts and audits; reconciles counts and secures inventory.
• Adjusts inventory and bin locations; ensures incoming/outgoing quantities are accurate.
• Researches discrepancies in product or SKU.
• Assists with root cause analysis for stock-outs and maintains data.
• Runs aged inventory and min/max reports; evaluates material returns or sales.
• Solicits returns for sale; preps and ships materials for return or sale; monitors credits or payments.
• Reviews min/max levels and suggests changes to site management.
• Maintains an approved list of "Customer Responsible Items".
• May assist with routine product inspections and participate in process improvements.
• Performs other duties as requested.
