Vistar is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator in Memphis to monitor and maintain inventory accuracy across the distribution process. The role emphasizes safe, independent work to ensure quality and timely flows of merchandise.

The candidate will compile and maintain records of quantity, type, and value of material, with counts, adjustments, and discrepancy investigations, while supporting inventory reports and shrink control within a collaborative warehouse team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of inventory experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to communicate information accurately and apply strong math skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and intermediate general computer skills.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift (10–90 lbs).
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts inventory records.
• Compares inventories to office records or computer figures.
• Verifies computations against physical counts and investigates discrepancies.
• Compiles receipts or disbursements of materials and supplies.
• Monitors inventory rotations and makes recommendations as needed.
• Prepares reports such as inventory balances and cycle counts.
