Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an Inventory Clerk to uphold accurate inventory records and support warehouse efficiency. You will monitor stock levels, perform cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies while ensuring proper storage, labeling, and documentation in a hybrid warehouse-office setting.

The role entails handling non-conforming products, quality holds, and transfers, with forklift operations and WMS data entry as core duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to manage multiple inventory items and priorities.
• Skilled in identifying discrepancies and solving problems through logical reasoning.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting and team coordination.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Excel) and willingness to learn warehouse systems.
• Understanding of FIFO, cycle counting, and stock rotation.
• Forklift experience and ability to pass a forklift assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits; reconcile variances.
• Input and maintain inventory data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Prepare documentation for inventory transactions and adjustments.
• Assist with receiving shipments and support order fulfillment and shipping.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and proper product placement.
• Identify inventory issues and propose process improvements.
• Perform product and location audits and root cause analysis for issues.
• Support initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
• Use system tools to trace and resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate stock status.
• Manage the damaged goods process and disposition for quality holds.
• Execute inventory transfers to support production and fulfillment.
• Operate forklifts and related equipment safely as needed.
