Job summary

Buell Fuel is seeking a Full-time Inventory Control Specialist for its Waterville, NY office. You will track inventory, perform audits, and maintain accurate records while providing professional customer support in person, by phone, and by email.

The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and teamwork. Schedule is Monday–Friday, day shift, with pay between $19.00 and $25.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service experience preferred.
• Fuel delivery/ propane/ heating industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional in-person customer support, and handle inquiries by phone and email.
• Track incoming/outgoing shipments, log inventory changes, and maintain database records.
• Perform regular physical counts, inventory audits, and reconciliations for discrepancies or shrink.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Enter, match, and verify purchase orders into database software.

We’re looking for a Full time Inventory Control Specialist at ourWaterville office—someone dependable, professional, and motivated to grow with us!

What You’ll Do

• Provide friendly, professional customer support in person, by phone, and by email
• Track incoming and outgoing shipments, log inventory changes, and maintain accurate database records
• Perform regular physical counts, inventory audits, and root-cause analysis to reconcile discrepancies or shrink
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships
• Handle administrative data entry, reporting, and reconciliation for company assets, purchasing, and stock
• Support team members and contribute to a positive office environment
• Monitor reorder points and min-max models to decide when to restock items without overstocking
• Enter, match, and verify purchase orders into database software

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• 1+ year of customer service experience (preferred)
• Experience in the fuel delivery, propane, or heating industry a plus
• Strong computer and communication skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
• Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and teamwork
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift
