GOVX, Inc. seeks an Inventory Associate to maintain accurate stock through cycle counts and to support Open Box and Bulk Return projects. You will inspect, relabel, and prepare items for resale or donation while aiding daily warehouse operations.

Qualifications

  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and organize returned items by category, condition, and storage location.
  • Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace following safety protocols.
  • Identify returned inventory items for special projects with Inventory Manager.
  • Oversee disposition of donations to charities.
  • Perform additional duties to support warehouse and inventory operations.

Job description

The Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory through regular cycle counting while assisting in processing items for the Open Box project and Bulk Return program. This role includes inspecting, organizing, and preparing returned merchandise for resale, donation, or other disposition, while supporting overall warehouse operations.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, relabel, and adjust returned items for the Open Box project, ensuring they meet quality standards before being entered into the inventory system for resale.
  • Assist in the timely and accurate processing of return shipments to Bulk Return partners with the required documentation.
  • Sort and organize returned items by category, condition, and storage location within the warehouse.
  • Assist with regular cycle counting of inventory to ensure stock accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following warehouse safety protocols.
  • Work with the Inventory Manager to identify returned inventory items for special projects.
  • Oversee the disposition of donations to local and national charities.
  • Perform additional duties as requested to support the warehouse and inventory team operations.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in project-based work.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Travel Requirements

No travel is expected for this position.

Work Location and Expectations

This is a 100% in-office position working onsite at the GOVX Fulfillment Center in LaVergne, TN. You will be required to report to the office five days per week and work a full eight-hour shift each day from the office. No relocation allowance or visa sponsorship will be provided.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and adjacent warehouse facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, and packing equipment. This is an office work position at the GOVX Fulfillment Center in LaVergne, TN.

  • Physical - This role will require some lifting to 40 lbs.
  • Mental - Problem-solving, making decisions, interpreting data, organizing, reading/writing.

Pay Range

$21.00 - $23.00/per hour
