Job summary

ABL WHOLESALE DISTRIBUTORS in Kentucky is seeking an Inventory Associate for a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm shift in our warehouse. The role focuses on maintaining accurate stock, processing returns and damages, and preparing product for shipment.

You will communicate with Sales staff and management, perform daily inventory tasks, and help keep the returns area organized. High school diploma and good math/Excel skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience handling warehouse stock, returns, and damaged goods.
• Proficient in tracking inventory and using Excel for basic math and reporting.
• Good written and verbal communication with Sales team and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain monthly cigarette and stamp inventory and organize the returns area.
• Process returns, adjust stock, and coordinate with manufacturers and sales staff.
• Prepare boxes for UPS/Freight shipment and support daily warehouse tasks.

Inventory Associate

Shift Time: 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday

Requirements include but are not limited to

• Monthly cigarette & stamp inventory
• Pulling outdated or recalled product from inventory for adjustment & destruction
• Executing return to stock product able to be resold (repackaging if needed)
• Processing on site damages from all pick areas
• Processing returns from customers; to be returned to stock or sent back to manufacturer
• Preparing boxes for UPS/Freight shipment back to manufacturer
• Organizing & upkeep of the returns area to ensure efficient processing of all products
• Planning & executing monthly manufacturer returns
• Assisting manufacturer reps on site with processing product for return
• Email or phone communication with Sales Director or Sales Staff regarding customer returns
• Daily emails from Sales Team regarding damages/pick up requests
• Distribution of products to Sales Team to return to customers (Sales Meetings)
• Other tasks & responsibilities as required

Physical requirements include

• Daily walking throughout warehouse
• Bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders & mobile stairs
• Operating hand pallet jack, carts & 2-wheeler to move product
• Lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion
• At times may require work in freezer & refrigeration temperatures

The right candidate will be a High School graduate, very well organized, able to communicate verbally and written (email) to all levels of the company, capable of multi-tasking several projects/tasks at a time. The primary focus is to be as efficient as possible while striving to keep up with all inventory/return issues within the warehouse. Candidate will possess general math skills with capabilities in Microsoft excel and email. Knowledge of CDR/AS400 system a plus!
