Atterro in Santa Clara, CA is hiring an Inventory and Production Coordinator to lead daily production operations on the floor and keep the shift moving with safety and quality in mind. The role requires hands-on leadership, inventory control, and collaboration with maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams.

The position emphasizes cycle counts, shipping/receiving support, and material handling using a forklift, with a day shift and competitive pay. Prior ERP and lean experience is valued.

Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of inventory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a machine shop preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.

Responsibilities

  • Cut and prepare raw materials to specifications.
  • Receive and verify incoming shipments.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts.
  • Store, label, and track materials.
  • Pick and issue materials to production.
  • Prepare production paperwork and documentation.
  • Inspect materials and address inventory discrepancies.
  • Operate a forklift to move materials.
  • Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse functions.
  • Follow safety, quality, and 5S standards.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory, team lead, shift lead, or production leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, production metrics, scheduling, or quality systems is beneficial.
  • Experience coordinating with maintenance, quality, warehouse, engineering, or other operational departments is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who are dependable, proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to motivate a diverse production team are well positioned for success as a Inventory and Production Coordinator.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout production areas for extended periods during the shift.
  • Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, and move throughout manufacturing or warehouse environments as required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely work around production machinery, material handling equipment, noise, and other conditions common to manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to remain active on the production floor while monitoring employees, equipment, safety, quality, and workflow.

What You Will Do

As a Inventory and Production Coordinator you will lead daily production operations, assign work, coordinate staffing, monitor workflow, coach employees, and keep the shift moving without cutting corners on safety or quality. You will track production goals and performance, lead pre-shift meetings, troubleshoot operational problems, coordinate with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and leadership teams, maintain production records and shift reports, support employee training, and create a respectful workplace built around teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Inventory and Production Coordinator helps keep safety and quality from becoming slogans posted on a wall by making them part of how the shift actually operates. This leader reinforces procedures, watches working conditions, addresses unsafe practices, and makes sure production pressure never becomes an excuse for cutting corners.
