Job summary

Free Country seeks an Inventory Analyst in New York City to support inventory control and optimization across apparel lines.

You will work with Production, Logistics, Sales, and 3PL partners to maintain inventory accuracy, analyze variances, and resolve discrepancies, while developing reporting and insights that help improve inventory processes, support business decisions, and ensure inventory remains aligned with demand.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inventory management experience, preferably in apparel or consumer goods.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into clear recommendations.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems (A2000, WMS).
• Advanced Excel skills; extensive data analysis (pivot tables/xlookups).
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience using AI (Claude and ChatGPT) to efficiently perform responsibilities.
• Must be onsite daily at our New York office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate system inventory levels across distribution network
• Lead inventory reconciliation with 3PLs, cycle counts, and physical inventories
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, shrinkage, and system inaccuracies
• Analyze variances to identify root causes and recommend corrective action
• Develop and manage corporate inventory reporting; present ATS insights and recommendations to leadership
• Continuously improve inventory policy, processes, systems, and controls
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses to support leadership and cross-functional teams
• Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by management
