Job summary

Jabil in Prince George, VA is launching a new onsite startup manufacturing large form-factor equipment. The Inventory Analyst I role focuses on monitoring inventory, tracing discrepancies, and partnering with operations to prevent downtime.

You will analyze material transactions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with engineering, program management, and other plant teams to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required, with hands-on experience in inventory control, inventory adjustments, cycle counting, and maintaining inventory accuracy in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
  • AA/BS in related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to research discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and developing or enhancing inventory management processes and controls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), with the ability to analyze and interpret inventory and transactional data.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Positive, high-energy team player who demonstrates initiative, challenges inconsistencies, and contributes to operational excellence.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies and related errors, including determining root causes.
  • Recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring inventory inaccuracies.
  • Maintain flexibility to work overtime, assist with material handling functions, and support other Inventory Control personnel as directed by the Inventory Control Manager.
  • Help prevent manufacturing downtime within assigned area(s), where applicable.
  • Perform regular component cycle counts as required.
  • Execute inventory transactions and reporting within customer systems when required.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of materials management systems that enhance inventory control.
  • Collaborate effectively with departmental supervisors, support functions, engineering, program management, and other plant personnel.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Comply with company security policies and established procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

This role is to support a new factory in Prince George, VA (onsite) startup manufacturing large form-factor equipment. The product will be large (shipping container size), heavy (50+ tons), and complex. This position will be part of the core factory startup and onboarding team responsible for building the operations and manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating the process flow/work instructions/etc. from the ground up.

Skills to include: panel and point to point wire assembly, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and High Power Electronic assemblies.

Shift A: Mon - Fri (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)

Job Summary

Pay range: $58,800 - $94,100.
