Job summary

Planet Labs, based in San Francisco, seeks an experienced Inventory Analyst to drive stock accuracy and optimize workflows across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. You will partner with Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing to analyze non-conforming stock and execute complex dispositions.

This full-time, in-office role at the SF office 5 days per week offers exposure to ERP/WMS environments and opportunities to shape inventory strategies in a space/image data company.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of inventory control, cycle counting, or stockroom analysis experience.
• Ability to work independently with strong judgment and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and email communications.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP and WMS data integrity and audits.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and refine daily and weekly cycle counts; analyze variance trends and adjust strategies.
• Lead physical inventory reconciliations for internal controls and audits with ERP/WMS systems.
• Oversee MRB process; collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing on non-conforming stock dispositions.
• Design and optimize stockroom locations for efficiency and 5S compliance.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and recommend solutions when guidelines don’t apply.
• Monitor stock levels across materials, WIP, and finished goods to avoid shortages or overages.
• Provide technical guidance to adjacent teams for kitting and logistics during peak production.
• Support kitting activities and minor logistics as needed.
