Job summary

Andersen Corporation is seeking an Inventory Accounting Supervisor to oversee cost and inventory accounting functions, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate reporting. You will lead period-end processes, reconciliations, cost calculations, and implement controls across the cost and inventory team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA and CPA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead, oversee, and participate in daily inventory accounting operations including period-end and year-end processes, reconciliations, inventory additions/disposals/transfers, and cost calculations.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting professionals with guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Maintain documentation of inventory accounting policies, procedures, and controls; propose updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and data integrity; uphold internal controls within the system.
• Recommend process and system improvements to maximize efficiency and standardize practices.
• Communicate key financial analyses and inventory trends to management.
• Support internal and external audits and cross-functional projects.
