Job summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a Senior Inventory Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturing team. This role focuses on inventory costing, standard costs, BOM maintenance, and month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years in manufacturing accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with an ERP system (JD Edwards preferred). This on-site role offers growth within a dynamic organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 1-2+ years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with a large ERP system (JD Edwards preferred).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end closing procedures related to inventory valuation.
• Review inventory receiving activity for accuracy and prepare required journal entries.
• Maintain standard costs and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufactured products.
• Review general ledger accounts and financial statements.
• Document and maintain inventory costing procedures.
• Reconcile inventory-related general ledger accounts.
• Assist with audit preparation and support throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end closing procedures related to inventory valuation
