Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under physician supervision. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and procedural assistance.

You will assist with monitoring, scrub, and circulator duties, manage supplies, and ensure sterile technique while supporting students and new staff during orientation and training. Texas location; full-time, onsite.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in science or healthcare field or equivalent experience.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• RCIS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) licensure preferred or required in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during cath lab procedures; interprets basic/advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, and operates physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists as a circulator; monitors patient status, hands supplies to scrub tech, and operates imaging equipment.
• Assists with transport of patient to and from department.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab; maintains sterile technique.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications and dosages used; understands procedures.
• Orders supplies for cath lab and maintains inventory control.
• Post-procedure: remove arterial/venous sheath, maintain hemostasis, monitor patient status.
• Takes part in preparing lab for procedures and marking arterial pulses; troubleshoots equipment.
