Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Radiology Technologist specialized in transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. The role involves assisting in cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, as well as post-procedure care and equipment quality control.

The candidate should have graduated from an accredited radiology program, hold an AART credential, and possess BLS certification along with at least one year of interventional radiology/cath lab

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiology.
• Current AART credential.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) required.
• One year of Interventional radiology/cath lab experience required.
• Recent hospital experience as a radiology technologist.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/IABP insertion and diagnostic and interventional peripheral vascular procedures in the Cardiac Cath. Lab.
• Performs post procedure care/groin management including arterial and venous sheath removal.
• Operates, troubleshoots, maintains and performs quality control on radiologic equipment.
• Maintains supply inventory.
• Other duties as assigned
