Qualifications

• Requires graduate of an accredited school of radiology.
• Current AART credential of Radiology or RCIS.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) required.
• One year of Interventional radiology/cath lab experience required.
• Recent hospital experience as a radiology technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performs transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography on all patient populations as appropriate.
• Assists physicians with cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/IABP insertion and diagnostic/interventional peripheral vascular procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Performs post-procedure care and groin management including arterial and venous sheath removal.
• Operates, troubleshoots, maintains and performs quality control on radiologic equipment.
• Maintains supply inventory and performs other duties as assigned.
