Intermountain Health is seeking an Invasive CV Technologist to support the cath lab team at St James Hospital. You will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, manage patient data, and ensure safety and accuracy in imaging and hemodynamics.

The role emphasizes equipment maintenance, sterile technique, and collaboration with the clinical team to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
• BLS required upon hire
• ACLS required within 12 months of hire
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, procedures, or regulations; write reports and manuals; present information.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.

Responsabilités

• Locates historical information on patient and updates patient files after procedures, labeling charts of patients with iodine allergies.
• Performs regular cleaning of equipment, transducers, pressure injectors, and compressors.
• Inspects all catheters and guide wire supplies for expiration dates; orders and stocks supplies as needed.
• Follows radiation safety guidelines and procedures.
• Schedules procedures appropriate for the lab; reviews pertinent patient history and data.
• Assists physician with catheter insertions and injections during diagnostic angiography, heart catheterization, angioplasties, stent procedures, and pacemaker insertions.
• Recognizes dysrhythmias and EKG changes; understands pressure waveforms and hemodynamic data.
• Communicates assessments to physicians and team members; records data accurately including ejection fractions and cardiac outputs.
• Maintains cath lab network computers, including WITT and PACS.
• Assists during cardioversions in the cath lab.
