Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Invasive Cardiovascular (CV) Technologist to assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angiography and catheterization. The role emphasizes data collection, patient history review, and strict adherence to radiation safety and lab protocols.

This full-time position at St James Hospital involves 40 hours per week with 10-hour shifts, weekend or call duties, and a pathway for ACLS/BLS training as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, procedures, or regulations.
• Ability to write reports and manuals and present information to managers and customers.
• Mathematical ability to calculate proportions, percentages, volumes.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with catheter insertions and injections during diagnostic angiography and heart catheterization.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Record data accurately, calculate ejection fractions and cardiac outputs.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and hospital policies.
• Schedule procedures and review patient history and data.
• Maintain cath lab network computers and PACS.
• Ensure proper labels and documentation, including iodine allergy notes.
