Job summary

Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. The role involves performing prescribed radiographic procedures in a fast-paced, academic medical center environment, supporting inpatients, outpatients, and clinic patients with opportunities to rotate across modalities.

The position is full-time (40 hours weekly), 7am-3:30pm with weekend rotation; there is an 18% night shift differential and a $3/hour weekend differential where

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification and state licensure if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• Typically 2 years of related radiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures by setting up the imaging cart, checking laterality, uploading patient data, and coordinating with the OR team.
• Educates patients and families about procedures, maintains professional conduct, and supports teamwork and patient outcomes.
• Performs prescribed radiographic procedures per department policies and ARRT/MRTBE guidelines; follows aseptic technique and universal precautions.
• Maintains imaging equipment, performs QC, troubleshoots issues, and communicates with surgical staff to minimize impact on patients and schedules.
• Maintains a safe environment and ensures radiation safety policies are followed by all staff inside the OR suite.
