Job description

Location: Banner Estrella Medical Center - 9201 W Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85037.

Work Shift: Day; Schedules available Monday through Friday 6:30am–5:00pm, Saturday & Sunday 8:00am–8:30pm, and additional shift options.

Position Summary

This position performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols and ensures optimal care and treatment for the patient population.

Core Functions
  1. Performs radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines.
  2. Educates patients/families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed, including risk factors and prevention.
  3. Produces high quality images and presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation, and maintains accurate documentation.
  4. Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures when applicable, in accordance with established policies.
  5. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements, troubleshoots, and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
  6. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors, adhering to safety policies.
  7. Accountable for ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice, maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
  8. Assures efficient operation of departmental workflow by performing additional duties as assigned and monitoring inventory of supplies and materials to ensure uninterrupted services.
  9. Independently performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols for patients.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program.
  • National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Licensure by the state regulatory agency, if applicable.
  • BLS certification required.
  • At least one year of clinical experience.
  • Effective communication, human relations, data analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
