Job summary

Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, AZ, seeks a Radiology-Technologist to perform specialized radiographic procedures in operative settings, aligning with ARRT/MRTBE policies. The role emphasizes ALARA, equipment readiness, and collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

The incumbent will maintain documentation, oversee equipment quality control, and support onboarding of new technologists while upholding radiation safety

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Requires national certification American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable.
• BLS certification is required.
• This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with two years of related experience.
• Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, ability to analyze data and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures by setting up the imaging cart and ensuring equipment readiness.
• Educates patients and families regarding procedures; promotes teamwork and quality outcomes.
• Performs prescribed radiographic procedures following ARRT/MRTBE guidelines and aseptic technique.
• Operates imaging equipment (Hybrid OR, C-Arms, Mini C-Arms) and ensures cleanliness per infection prevention standards.
• Produces high quality images and maintains accurate documentation for timely interpretation.
• Performs quality control measurements and communicates equipment issues to minimize impact on patients.
• Maintains radiation safety and dosimetry practices in the operative setting.
• Upholds ethical, legal, and professional standards and confidentiality of patient information.
• Facilitates onboarding and development of new intra-operative technologists.
