Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program.
• Requires national certification from ARRT and licensure by state if applicable. BLS certification required.
• This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1 year of experience; must communicate effectively and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures and analyzes according to department guidelines; applies policies and procedures.
• Educates patients/families about procedures, risks, and prevention; demonstrates professional conduct and teamwork.
• Produces high quality images and prepares them with relevant patient information for interpretation; maintains documentation.
• Performs prescribed invasive/interventional procedures when applicable per policies.
• Performs and evaluates equipment quality control; troubleshoots to maintain equipment performance; maintains a safe environment.
• Maintains ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities; protects patient confidentiality.
• Supports department workflow and inventory management to prevent service interruptions.
• Independently performs radiographic procedures for patients; collaborates with medical imaging and nursing staff and external agencies.
