Job summary

Ascension in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will assist in complex procedures, perform diagnostic imaging, and support interventional imaging under the guidance of Radiologists and PAs.

Location is Hoffman Estates with day shift and PRN opportunities. Required credentials include BLS within 30 days, IEMA Radiologic Technologist credential, and one of the listed radiography-related certifications.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• IEMA Radiologic Technologist credential required before hire date.
• Cardiographic Tech (CCI) or ARRT Radiologic Technologist with Radiography specialty preferred.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI) preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Diagnostic Imaging & Procedure Support: Assist in complex procedures and provide diagnostic aid by expertly conducting organ or body scans on patients.
• Advanced & Interventional Imaging: Competently perform all specialized imaging procedures (e.g., angio, complex vascular) and interventional/therapeutic procedures, providing support to the Radiologist or Physician Assistant (PA).

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• 1 year of Interventional Technologist work experience strongly preferred.
