Ascension is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab professional in Austin, TX to perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac imaging, support the Radiologist, and coordinate care during complex procedures.

The role requires Texas Radiologic Technologist credentials, BLS, and relevant cardiovascular certifications, with a sign-on bonus and a daytime, full-time schedule at Dell Seton Medical Center.

Qualifications

• BLS within 1 month of hire date
• Texas Radiologic Technologist credentialed prior to hire date
• One of: CCI Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, CCI Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, ARRT Radiologic Technologist (Vascular/Interventional variants accepted)
• Advanced Life Support preferred
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab by performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac imaging procedures.
• Lead critical care coordination during complex cardiac procedures to provide essential diagnostic aid and support the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer contrast media and medications accurately while monitoring vitals to ensure safety and quality.
• Support Radiologist and clinical team by maintaining precise technical parameters and accurate clinical documentation.
• Implement strict radiation safety protocols and quality improvement standards for high-pressure interventions.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver high-impact patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab by performing life-saving diagnostic and interventional cardiac imaging procedures.
• Lead critical care coordination during complex cardiac procedures to provide essential diagnostic aid and support the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer contrast media and medications accurately while monitoring patient vitals to ensure safety and clinical quality during fast-paced emergency interventions.
• Support the Radiologist and clinical team by maintaining precise technical parameters and clinical documentation within a rapid-response cardiovascular setting.
• Implement strict radiation safety protocols and quality improvement standards to ensure operational excellence and superior patient outcomes in high-pressure situations.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) ) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Vascular Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Interventional Radiography and Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography also accepted.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
