Job summary

Ascension Imaging is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in vascular interventional radiography for the Milwaukee facility. The role requires precise imaging, patient safety, and adherence to radiation guidelines within a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ARRT Radiography with Vascular Interventional Radiology credentialing required within 15 months of hire.
• Wisconsin state radiology licensure required by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and acquire high-quality images for PACS.
• Administer contrast media and medications within regulatory scope while monitoring patients.
• Refine imaging protocols to improve diagnostic accuracy and ensure documentation meets standards.
• Maintain department cleanliness and ensure equipment functionality.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Imaging & Technical Precision: Accurately position patients and select optimal exposure factors and anatomic parameters to produce and submit high-quality images and data to PACS.
• Patient Care & Safety: Administer contrast media and medications within regulatory scope while monitoring patients for abnormal activity and ensuring strict adherence to radiation protection guidelines.
• Clinical Quality Improvement: Observe and refine imaging protocols as warranted to enhance diagnostic accuracy and ensure all documentation meets departmental standards.
• Equipment & Facility Oversight: Maintain a clean, orderly department and ensure equipment functionality by performing routine checks and implementing lock/tag-out procedures for malfunctions.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Vascular-Intrvn Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 15 Months (1 1/4 year) of hire date or job transfer date required. General Radiography required in addition to Vascular Interventional Radiology. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required. General Radiology and state licensure required by hire or job transfer date.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
