Job summary

Ascension St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Radiology Technician to join the Diagnostic Radiology department. This full-time days role involves precise image positioning, exposure control, and patient safety within a Catholic health system committed to care and growth.

The ideal candidate will hold BLS, ARRT- Radiologic Technologist certification, and a high school diploma. A JRCERT-accredited program and a bachelor’s degree are preferred, with prior imaging experience valued.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to hire date.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) prior to hire date.
• High School diploma required; Graduation from a JRCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology preferred. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and adjust exposure factors to produce high-quality X-rays.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient well-being and adhere to radiation safety protocols.
• Evaluate imaging protocols and contribute to workflow improvements.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Execute precise diagnostic imaging: Position patients and adjust exposure factors accurately to produce high-quality X-rays that enable rapid, reliable medical diagnoses.
• Deliver safe clinical interventions: Prepare and administer contrast media and authorized medications within your scope of practice, adhering strictly to state and federal safety standards.
• Champion patient safety and comfort: Monitor patient well-being closely throughout procedures and adhere to stringent radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure and protect patient health.
• Drive continuous clinical improvement: Evaluate imaging protocols regularly and recommend refinements to enhance diagnostic quality, team workflow, and patient care standards.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Radiology Technician obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma required. Graduation from a JRCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology preferred. Bachelofs Degree preferred.

Work Experience

• Previous work experience as an Imaging Tech preferred.
