Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Decatur, GA seeks a Surgical Technologist to support interventional procedures. Under supervision of Facility Manager or Chief Radiology Technologist, you will prepare rooms, stock supplies, and assist with patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile technique, assisting with fluoroscopy procedures, handling instruments, labeling medications, and ensuring safety and compliance with HIPAA and CQI programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Surgical Technologist certification as required by state regulation.
• BLS certification required; regulatory compliance knowledge.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred in interventional or sterile environments.
• Working knowledge of interventional equipment (including C-Arm) and sterile techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and setup of the procedure room in accordance with FMCNA/USV policies and procedures and state/federal regulations.
• Stock procedure room and trays with all needed supplies and interventional equipment.
• Clean the procedure room and equipment post-procedure.
• Assist with patient preparation including positioning and prepping.
• Assist physicians during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy and maintain sterile technique.
• Assist with instrument sterilization and packaging of surgical instruments.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in CQI activities.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and restocking of supplies.
