Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support interventional procedures. You will prepare and maintain the procedure room, assist the physician as a scrub and circulating staff, and ensure sterile technique and patient safety throughout the intervention.

Responsibilities include prepping patients, handling interventional equipment, and assisting with medication administration under state regulations. Day shifts in Brooklyn, NY.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of interventional equipment and procedures.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and universal precautions.
• BLS certification completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and setup of the procedure room per FMCNA/USV policies and regulations.
• Stock procedure room and trays with supplies and interventional equipment.
• Clean the procedure room and equipment post-procedure.
• Assist with patient prep, positioning and shaving as needed.
• Prepare and administer medications within scope of practice and state regulations.
• Assist physician as scrub and circulating staff during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy.
• Transfer and reposition patients; ensure safe transport to/from procedure room.
• Document issues and communicate problems to supervisor.
