Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in Phoenix seeks an Interventional Special Procedures Technologist to support procedures in radiology, vascular, and neuro interventions. You will scrub, assist physicians, and manage imaging in OR, cath lab, and hybrid rooms.

On-call shifts rotate monthly, including weekends. The role requires ARRT and CRT certifications, state-approved training, and BLS, with at least 1 year of radiologic technologist experience in interventional settings.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements of an appropriate State and/or Federal mandated certification or equivalent.
• 1 Year experience as a radiologic technologist in interventional radiology, vascular interventional surgery, cardiovascular radiology, or fluoroscopy procedures.
• ARRT Certificate - ARRT -REQUIRED
• Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy Permit - CA Department of Public Health -REQUIRED
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - CA Department of Public Health -REQUIRED
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
• Venipuncture Certification - Various-Employee provides certificate -REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Documentation Management: enter correct patient information, verify orders, begin/end exams.
• Produce high quality exams with proper labeling and imaging techniques.
• Assist in inventory management and maintain supply records for procedures.
• Provide pre/post procedure education and communicate with patient and family.
• Ensure confidentiality and follow universal precautions during procedures.
