Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC seeks an Imaging Technologist specialized in Interventional Radiology. The role requires ARRT CV/VI registry and at least one year of IR experience, with competence in procedural support, radiation safety, and patient care across ages.

You will operate imaging equipment, participate in QA, coordinate with physicians and staff, and contribute to education and performance improvement initiatives within the IR department.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates technical skills and expertise in interventional radiology procedures.
• Verbal and written communication skills are required for patient care and documentation.
• Provides care across age groups with appropriate development considerations.
• Familiarity with Radiant in Epic and proper chart review prior to procedures.
• Maintains safety standards and infection control per hospital guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures within the Special Procedures section of interventional radiology.
• Assist as scrub, float, and imaging technologist as needed.
• Ensure accurate patient assessment and review of orders and labs.
• Operate and maintain radiology equipment safely and efficiently.
• Document procedures and initiate charges in the computer system for billing.
• Participate in QA activities and performance improvement projects.
• Provide exceptional guest relations and effective team communication.
• Mentor students and participate in department education.
