Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Special Procedures unit to plan and implement professional nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and to assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned. This role requires an Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred) and current North Carolina RN licensure or a compact state license.

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's preferred.
• Ability to plan and implement professional nursing care per hospital policies.
• Demonstrated empathy, attention to detail, and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify care needs.
• Plan, organize, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Serve as charge nurse as assigned.
• Administer medications as ordered by physician.
• Establish collaborative relationships with health system and medical staff.
• Maintain records of patient care and monitor quality of care.
• Respond to life-threatening situations and provide appropriate care.
