Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System in Fayetteville, NC seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures for diagnosis. You will assess patients, prepare for procedures, and ensure privacy and comfort while recording exam times in the RIS.

Adherence to radiation protection, infection control, and QA of exams is required. ARRT registration and a radiologic sciences degree are required; 2 years of experience is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• College graduate from an accredited radiologic sciences program.
• ARRT registration or registry eligible with required timeframe.
• Minimum 2 years of radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures for diagnosis.
• Assesses patient, reviews orders, and prepares patient for procedures.
• Maintains privacy and comfort, and ensures timely exam recording in RIS.
• Follows radiation protection guidelines and Universal Precautions.
• Performs QA on exams and submits work orders when equipment is down.
