Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a qualified Radiologic Technologist to perform interventional imaging under radiologist supervision. The role requires independent judgment in selecting and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis and image-guided treatment.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, image acquisition, and assisting radiologists with sterile technique and equipment operation, with adherence to radiation safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of New York and ARRT certification required.
• 1-3 years experience in radiology and angiographic systems.
• Proficient with RIS-IC and GE Centricity PACS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and rooms, enter data into RIS, position patient.
• Obtain scout film and acquire high-quality images with proper exposure.
• Assist interventional radiologist and operate injectors as needed.
• Maintain imaging workflow and accurate documentation.
• Train associates and students in special procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Perform duties of a 4T technologist as needed.
