Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY is seeking a Special Procedure Technician for an ongoing staff position. The role involves performing specialized radiologic procedures under radiologist supervision, with independence in judgement and image-guided treatment.

You will work evenings 3 PM–11:30 PM, 7.5-hour shifts, with an hourly rate of $55.14 and responsibilities including data entry in Epic, image capture, and equipment handling. ARRT certification and NY license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Formal radiologic technology training meeting ARRT certification.
• ARRT certification.
• Valid Radiologic Technologist license with Injection in NY.
• Knowledge of Special Procedure/Angiographic Systems.
• Knowledge of Radiographic exposure equipment and film processor.
• Knowledge of Epic tracking equipment and other database managers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and rooms, enter data into Epic and set up for procedures.
• Acquire cut films and digital images with proper exposure factors.
• Assist radiologist during procedures and monitor fluoro time.
• Photograph and label digital images for radiologist review.
• Maintain records of films, fluoro time and injections.
• Adhere to radiation safety regulations for patients and staff.
• Train others in special procedures and maintain area cleanliness.
