Job summary

UofL Health's University Hospital – UMC in Louisville, KY is seeking an Interventional Technologist to scrub in for IR procedures and assist physicians with imaging and safety protocols.

You will position patients, set exposure parameters, inject contrast per protocol, and produce high-quality images while maintaining radiation safety and proper documentation. ARRT registration and KY operator certification are required, along with BLS and IR Registry within 2 years.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT-registered radiologic technologist.
  • KY Radiation Operator certification.
  • BLS certification required.
  • IR Registry within 2 years of employment.
  • Prefer 2 years of general radiographer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist IR team and prepare exam trays using sterile technique.
  • Set parameters on generator, power injectors, and imaging equipment.
  • Produce and evaluate images for diagnostic quality.
  • Maintain radiation safety and cleanliness in the procedure room.
  • Document exams and ensure proper paperwork and charges.
  • Attend department meetings and in-services.
