Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to scrub in and assist the physician during interventional procedures. You will circulate in the procedure room, procure equipment, position patients, and ensure radiation safety and patient safety per protocol.

You will set up imaging parameters, inject contrast according to protocol, verify patient identity and orders, and contribute to maintaining equipment and hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered with ARRT.
• KY Radiation Operator certification required.
• BLS required.
• IR Registry within 2 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs in and assists the physician in interventional radiology procedures.
• Circulates in the procedure room and procures all equipment.
• Position patients and set exposure parameters per protocol.
• Maintain radiation safety practices during procedures.
• Ensure examinations are complete with images and paperwork.
• Assist in training new personnel and maintain proficiency with equipment.
• Promote collaborative patient care and uphold Core Expectations.
