Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville is seeking an Interventional Technologist to scrub in and assist during IR procedures, position patients and set exposure parameters per protocol. You will circulate in the procedure room, procure equipment, and maintain strict radiation and patient safety standards while delivering high-quality imaging and care throughout the interventional workflow.

The role requires ARRT registration, Kentucky Radiation Operator certification, BLS, and IR Registry within two years;

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered with ARRT required.
• KY Radiation Operator’s certification required.
• BLS required.
• IR Registry required within 2 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs in and assists the physician in the interventional radiology procedure.
• Circulates within the procedure room and procures all equipment needed for procedures.
• Maintains a high degree of accuracy and awareness of radiation and patient safety issues.
• Positions patients and sets exposure parameters according to protocols.
