Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking an Interventional Radiologic Technologist to support physicians during minimally invasive procedures. You will help position patients, operate fluoroscopic imaging equipment, and assist with real-time imaging to guide devices.

The role requires ARRT (R) or RCIS certification and BLS, with education including a radiology program and a high school diploma or equivalent. This on-site position supports a busy interventional radiology suite in Greensboro.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program.
• Required: ARRT (R) Radiologic Technologist – Dx and/or RCIS Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist; BLS CPR.

Responsibilities

• Performs minimally invasive exams consistent with established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose to as low as reasonably achievable.
• Operates and maintains specialized interventional radiology equipment, adhering to safety protocols and performing regular maintenance checks to ensure accurate and reliable imaging during procedures.
• Assists radiologists and other medical staff during interventional procedures, providing real-time imaging support to aid in accurate placement of devices and therapeutic interventions.
• Completes all exams and documentation in Computerized Health Information (CHI) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), accurately identifying all charges associated with studies and addressing errors for a seamless workflow.
• Assists with patient transport as necessary to ensure the smooth flow of patient care and support during procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
