Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist for the Heart & Vascular Institute to support invasive cardiology and radiology procedures. You will assist physicians, manage patient care, and help ensure safety and accuracy throughout procedures.

The role includes on-call duties and flexible shifts, with a sign-on bonus offered. An Associate’s Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology is required, along with ARRT registration and state licensure.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or Certificate of Completion required for Radiologic Technology.
Licensure/Certification: Registered in Radiography (ARRT) and Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
ACLS within 1 year – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Administers contrast material as requested by physician and monitors for reactions.
Under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist, performs duties and maintains patient safety.
Assists with inventory and supplies; ensures correct patient identification and documentation.
Explains procedures to patients, ensuring comfort, safety and confidentiality.
Performs essential Radiologic Technologist functions and on-call/shift variability as needed.
