Job summary

The Registered Radiologic Technologist at Carle Health supports the Heart & Vascular Institute by assisting physicians during invasive cardiology and radiology procedures. You will ensure patient safety, prepare equipment, and document procedures in alignment with department policies.

Applicants should hold an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT registration, and ACLS certification within one year. This role offers a sign-on bonus and requires on-site presence in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
ARRT registered in Radiography; state licensure in Radiologic Technology.
ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

Administers contrast material per physician request and monitors for reactions.
All functions performed under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
Assists with inventory and supplies.
Verifies patient and chart identification, diagnosis and treatment position.
Documents clinical information per policies and procedures.
Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
Performs essential Radiologic Technologist duties and on-call/variable shifts.
