Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist for the Heart & Vascular Institute. The role supports physicians during invasive cardiology and radiology procedures, ensuring patient care and team success.

The position offers a sign-on bonus and requires ARRT radiography certification, IL licensing as Radiologic Technologist, and ACLS within one year. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
Registered in Radiography (R) by ARRT.
Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (IEMA).
ACLS within 1 year (AHA).

Responsibilities

Administers contrast material per physician’s request and monitors for hypersensitivity.
All functions under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
Assists with inventory/supplies.
Checks patient and chart identification, diagnosis and treatment position.
Compiles pertinent clinical information (lab, pathology).
Assists in training new staff.
Documents per policies and procedures.
Explains procedures to patients and provides comfort, safety and confidentiality.
Performs essential Radiologic Technologist functions.
Performs on-call duties and variable shifts as assigned.
