Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assist interventional radiology, cardiology and vascular surgery teams in fluoroscopic procedures. The role includes pre-procedural setup, operating radiology equipment, sterile field management and documentation for billing and quality records.

The candidate will train junior staff and may float among UCI Health locations to meet patient care needs, with availability for evenings, nights or weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Float between all UCI Health locations as needed.
• Support the academic nature of the organization engaging in and supporting the teaching role and research.
• Available to work evenings, nights and/or weekends; on-call may be required.
• Minimum 2 years as Radiologic Technologist and 1 year in a Special Procedure Radiology Setting or Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Current BLS certification
• CRT license/certification
• CDHP Radiologic Technologist Fluroscopy permit
• ARRT license/certification
• ACLS certification upon hire

Responsibilities

• Assist the interventional radiologist, cardiologist, vascular surgeon or other physicians during fluoroscopic guided procedures.
• Setup pre-procedural and operate radiology equipment and maintain sterile field.
• Provide scrub and circulating support and assist with documentation and image archiving.
• Support training of less senior radiologic technologists and students.
• Float between UCI Health locations as needed.
