Job summary

UCI Health in California is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist (Special Procedures Tech) to support diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and radiation control. The role rotates between scrub and monitor duties and includes a 30-minute on-call response requirement.

The ideal candidate holds a radiologic technologist degree, ARRT, CA CRT, and CA fluoroscopy licenses, with ACLS/BLS certifications and at least one year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited radiologic technologist school.
• Current ARRT license, California CRT license, and California fluoroscopy license.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Crisis intervention certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to fulfill essential job functions and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain a work pace suitable for workload demands.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships across the health system.

Responsibilities

• Supports diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures with emphasis on patient safety and radiation protection.
• Rotates between scrub and monitor duties during procedures.
• Provides procedural support and ensures readiness of equipment and supplies.
• Adheres to department protocols and maintains clear communication with team members.
• On-call response within 30 minutes as required by on-site procedures.
